Sessional Instructor, Geostatistics, Department of Geoscience

Position Description

The Department of Geoscience at the University of Calgary is seeking a Sessional Instructor to teach the following course during the Fall 2018 Term:

  • GEO 597 - Geostatistics

The successful applicant is required to teach GLGY 597, Geostatistics, focused on the statistical analysis of spatial data, multivariate data analysis, regression, variogram analysis, kriging, co-kriging and stochastic simulation in a variety of geologic contexts.

Applications are currently being accepted for this position.  A curriculum vitae, evidence of excellent teaching experience or potential, and names and contact information for three references are required. 

A PhD is normally required, but candidates who have completed a MSc will be considered. Remuneration to be determined in consultation with the Head pursuant to Schedule B of the Collective Agreement.

Applications will be accepted until June 15, 2018.  This appointment is effective for the Fall 2018 term (August 27th- December 20th).
